UPDATE: WE DID IT! With your support, and the generous matching donations from our Board and the Jack Johnson Ohana Foundation, we exceeded our $10k in 10 days goal by more than 25%. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
May 2 -12 is our Annual Fundraising Campaign and we’re commemorating 10 years of Ride for Reading with a goal to raise $10,000 in 10 days. With your support, we are hoping to meet (and EXCEED) our goal!
Ride for Reading was founded in Nashville, TN in 2008 by Elementary Teacher, Mathew Portell, and has expanded with our first RfR chapter in San Antonio, TX in 2017. National Ride for Reading Week was created to invite other cities to coordinate a Ride for Reading delivery in their own city. In 2018, we have confirmed 27 deliveries in 23 cities and 13 states! Amazing. Wouldn’t it be great to see deliveries in every state?
If you have not experienced a delivery, we invite you to join us on our next delivery on Friday, May 11th. More information can be found HERE. It will fill you up. It will change your perspective. It will make you smile.
The simple joy of a child receiving a book that was delivered by someone on a bicycle to their school that they can KEEP forever is priceless.
We understand there are SO MANY wonderful non-profits out there doing amazing things in our community. And we encourage you to support those that mean the most to you.
Our mission is to promote LITERACY and HEALTHY-LIVING and we execute our mission in action.
Ride for Reading delivers age-appropriate books to children at Title 1 schools and in low-income communities by bicycle.
Will you help us continue our mission to get books into children’s hands and reach (and exceed) our goal over the next 10 days? And join us on a delivery! You will not regret it.
Isn’t her excitement contagious?
