On Friday, June 15th we will be delivering books to the children of The Salvation Army Magness-Potter Community Center in partnership with Front Porch!
We will officially be in the full swing of Summer and many children are out of school so we have partnered up with Front Porch for a fun summer book delivery/event to a low-income neighborhood Community Center. Front Porch has built many relationships with children and families in this area and we are excited to share the love of reading & cycling with them. We will meet at 10:00AM at Von Elrods (1004 4th Ave N.) to load up our books. We are scheduled to arrive at The Salvation Army Magness-Potter Community Center (611 Stockell St.) at 11:00am so we will roll out no later than 10:30am. It will be a moderate 2-2.5 mile route through Bicentennial Mall State Park, a view of the Nashville Sounds & Titans stadiums and over to the Community Center.
Since this is a summer delivery and the children are out of school, we are planning to stay longer to read, eat, play games & interact with the children. Riders may leave early if needed (we just ask that you stay at least for the entire RfR presentation). Or, why not make an afternoon of it? There is talk of a post-delivery gathering at Von Elrod’s!
We invite you to bring your friends, family, co-workers and at least someone you know that has never done a delivery before & join us to impact the lives of several children in Nashville for this very special summer delivery!
As always, we will all ride together. Helmets are required.
