Open Streets Nashville is a program by Walk Bike Nashville and the Office of the Mayor, that temporarily closes the streets to cars to allow people to reconnect to their communities, get active, and play in the street. Free to the public, the event turns the streets into a park space that connects diverse portions of the city and offers communities the opportunity to experience their city streets in a whole new way.
Open Streets Nashville will be held on Sunday, July 28th from 3-7pm. Here is the route that will be closed off.
Ride for Reading will have a booth onsite and we are looking for Volunteers to help us man the booth to talk about upcoming Ride for Reading opportunities, pass out books to children and adults and to help read books with the children. Join us to volunteer for few hours and stay to enjoy the event!
We encourage you to carpool/carshare, walk, or ride your bike to the event, bring new or gently-used books to donate if you have them and click below to volunteer if you are able to donate some of your time!
Open Streets is for everyone! For questions on ADA compliance, please email email@example.com or call 615-928-8801.
