Ride for Reading welcomes former pro-cyclist, Speaker & Author, Amy Charity, for upcoming events

RIDE FOR READING HOSTS NASHVILLE BOOK DELIVERY TO BUENA VISTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL and a RIDE FOR READING FILM FESTIVAL SPONSORED BY SWIFTWICK with special guest appearance from Speaker, former Pro-Cyclist, Author and Vanderbilt Alumna, Amy Charity

NASHVILLE, Tenn., (September 26, 2018) – Ride for Reading will be hosting their next Book Delivery on Thursday, October 11th to 300+ children at Buena Vista Elementary with a special guest appearance from Vanderbilt Alumna, Speaker, former Pro-cyclist who holds a National title in the Team Time Trial and Author of “The Wrong Side of Comfortable”, Amy Charity. Several volunteers are needed to deliver over 600 books on bikes, beginning at M.L Rose Craft Beer & Burgers (Capitol View).

Together, they want to show Amy Charity and Buena Vista Elementary how much we care about promoting literacy and what a great volunteer community Nashville has! Sign up to register to ride or read at: www.rideforreading.org/events.

Ride for Reading is excited to announce they will be partnering with several local organizations for this book delivery including: Metro Nashville Public Schools, M.L Rose (Capitol View), The Nashville Sounds & “Booster”, King of Pops, The Nashville Public Library, Metro Nashville Police Department, Green Fleet Bikes and many other cycling groups & bike shops, men, women & children in the community. Additionally, Ride for Reading is partnering up with 5Point Adventure Film Festival to host an outdoor Film Festival sponsored by locally-owned, Swiftwick, at Blackstone Brewing Company on Sunday, October 14th. The evening will include inspiring stories from Amy Charity that will challenge you to step out of your comfort zones to discover your untapped potential and 12 short adventure films featuring stories about Paddling, Kayaking, Running, Skiing/Snowboarding, Cycling, Rock Climbing, Yoga, Rodeo and Womanhood.

VIP ($50), General Admission ($20) & Youth tickets ($10) are available. VIP tickets will include a personal Brewery Tour with complimentary Blackstone beer (Ages 21+) a pint glass, a pair of Swiftwick Socks, a meet-and-greet and book signing with Amy Charity and a raffle ticket. All ticket sales will benefit future Ride for Reading programs.
